The Mantel Group paid traineeship program for women and gender minority groups offers an opportunity to kickstart your career in tech through a structured program that expands upon your knowledge through hands-on experience and further development to support your transition into the industry.
How does the Traineeship Program work?
The Mantel Group Traineeship Program is a paid traineeship designed to support talented women and gender minority groups to take the first step in their tech career.
Set over 9 weeks, 4 days per week, the program focuses on further enhancing your knowledge through practical on-the-job experience blended with tech training and development workshops
We want to set you up for success from day one, ensuring you’ll thrive by supporting you with an incredible mentor and trainee alumni network that will help guide you and personalise the support you need throughout the program.
And a pretty important element of the program is that there is potential for permanent employment after the program – we hire as many trainees as we have permanent roles!
Our trainees can join in one of the following streams:
Cloud Engineering (Google)
Cloud Engineering (AWS)
What are we looking for?
- You recently nailed a course, certification or degree in a relevant tech discipline.
- You’ll bring a wealth of experience in teamwork, communication and time management from your previous work experience in any industry.
- You have experience working in any industry and can bring all the incredible talents you have developed over the years to our team.
- You’ll be naturally curious, keen to learn, and thrive on making things happen.
- You’re ready to commit to being part of the Traineeship Program for 9 weeks.
- Have found your second calling and have a genuine passion and excitement to build a long term career in tech.
- Need to have full working rights in Australia and be located in Sydney or Melbourne.

“When I got married and moved to Australia I was a recently graduated doctor with an overseas qualification. The opportunities were limited for me. So I decided to transition into Health Management, where I have been working for the last 5 years. My last role was as an Administration Manager and I soon realised that there was no opportunity for me to progress further. I was always interested about the technology advancement in health, so I decided to make a career transition into tech. I completed a web development bootcamp and started to apply for internship roles. That is when I came across the traineeship program at Mantel group. It is a great program for women who want to enter the IT industry and I am really excited to be part of it. “I live in Wollongong with my husband and 3 children (and our beagle Eddie and bearded dragon Steve). I was a primary school teacher for many years, specialising in supporting students with additional needs. Last year, I made a career change into design, and took a year off to study graphic design at TAFE and UX/UI at Academy Xi. I heard about Mantel Group through a local tech networking channel and applied for the traineeship.
