Trailblazing tech companies recognised for exceptional workplace culture and leadership.

Great Place To Work®, the global authority on workplace culture, has today revealed Australia’s Best Workplaces™ in Technology for 2026, spotlighting 50 organisations that are leading the way in creating high-trust, high-performing workplace cultures.

The list spans four categories based on employee headcount:

  • Micro (under 30 employees)
  • Small (30–99 employees)
  • Medium & Large (100+ employees)

Each company earned its place on the list following a rigorous assessment of confidential employee feedback. This data-driven approach ensures the companies recognised are genuinely committed to creating workplaces where people thrive, and performance follows.

Culture as a competitive advantage – when it has never mattered more

Australia’s technology sector is now the nation’s second-largest contributor to GDP, having contributed $248.5 billion to the economy in 2025, effectively reaching a milestone originally set for 2030, and growing 50% faster than the broader economy. The scale of that growth tells only part of the story.

Australia will need 1.3 million technology workers by 2030 to meet industry demand. Yet the talent pipeline is strained. AI-skilled workers are already commanding a 56% wage premium on average and higher-skilled shortages across the sector have barely eased, sitting at 55% of businesses affected in 2026. In this environment, salary alone is no longer enough to attract and keep the people who matter most.

The companies recognised on this year’s list understand that. Tapping into underutilised workforce skills and creating flexible, inclusive and meaningful workplaces is now crucial to attracting and retaining top talent in a highly competitive labour market. These organisations are not waiting for the market to shift in their favour. They are shaping environments where people choose to stay, contribute and grow.

This year’s honourees span disciplines from cloud infrastructure to cybersecurity, healthtech to AI, each operating in a sector where employers are increasingly seeking professionals who combine technical expertise with leadership and strategic skills. What sets these 50 apart is that they are investing in their people with the same rigour they apply to their products, building cultures where transparency, accountability and belonging are embedded into how work actually gets done.

The 2026 Best Workplaces in Technology list highlights companies that understand culture is a business asset In a market where specialist talent is scarce and expectations are high, these organisations are showing that when people feel trusted, included and supported, innovation and retention follow naturally.
