It applies to our clients, prospective clients, employees, contractors, service providers, suppliers, and any other individuals whose personal information we may collect in the course of our business.

Collection of personal information

We may collect personal information from you when you: 

  • visit our website or social media pages; 
  • make an enquiry with us or interact with our staff; 
  • engage us to provide professional services, including information technology consulting, digital transformation, data and analytics, or other services we offer;
  • attend a seminar or other event we host; 
  • subscribe to or request any of our newsletters or other communications;

The kinds of personal information we collect

The personal information we collect and hold may vary depending on the nature of your interaction with us. The types of personal information we may collect and hold include: 

  • contact and identification information, such as your name, employer, work address, phone number and email address;
  • client project information, including in relation to services you have enquired about and information provided to us in connection with the services we deliver;
  • website and digital platform usage information, including IP addresses, time stamps, session duration, traffic source, browser type, and information collected via cookies and tracking technologies (as set out further in section 4 below); 
  • service provider and contractor information, including details of the work performed, bank account information, and details of insurances, permits and registrations; and
  • current and prospective employment information, including job application information including references and information provided by referees, emergency contact details, immigration and residency information, bank account information, tax file number, superannuation fund details, performance and remuneration information, and health information including sick leave records and information relating to workers compensation claims.

We may also keep any communications you exchange with us, such as special requests or requests for information, information about your preferences and feedback, and other communications you send us. 

Due to the nature of our work, there are only limited circumstances in which you may be able to deal with us anonymously or using a pseudonym. In particular, if you engage us to receive our professional services or apply for a position with us, we require that you provide us with accurate personal information relevant to that engagement.  If you do not provide us with your personal information, we may not be able to provide you with our services, respond to your enquiries, or communicate with you effectively. 

Our website

Our web servers may automatically collect information when you visit our website, including:

  • the parts of our website you access during your visit;

We do not use automated decision-making to significantly affect rights or interests of an individual without appropriate human review.

Depending on the nature of our relationship with you, we may contact you from time to time for marketing or promotional purposes, including to provide you with information in relation to the services of our related entities and third parties where we believe they may be of interest to you. We may disclose your personal information to other related entities within our corporate group for our own business purposes.

  • our professional advisors, including legal advisors, auditors and insurers;

Some of these recipients of personal information may be located outside Australia. In particular, Mantel Group uses cloud-based systems to store and process personal information, and some of these service providers may store data in locations outside Australia.

We will respond to your request within a reasonable period. We may charge a reasonable fee to cover the costs of providing access to your personal information. 

If you believe that your personal information is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading, you may contact us to request that your personal information is corrected. There is no fee for correcting your personal information. We may require you to provide particulars of your identity before providing you with access to, or making changes to, your personal information.

How we hold your personal information

We are committed to protecting your personal information. Personal information is generally held in electronic format on our systems and those of our service providers. Sometimes personal information may be held in hard copy form. 

We implement security measures to hold and protect your personal information from misuse, interference or loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. This includes the use of technologies and processes such as access control procedures, network firewalls, encryption and physical security to protect the privacy of your personal information.
